Yes, our dog treats are healthy and can be given to puppies. We recommend giving the Tibetan Dog Chews: Small size, and Tibetan Crunchy Cheese Puffs for puppies and smaller dogs.

Do Tibetan Antlers and Tibetan Dog Chew chip or splinter?

How is Tibetan Dog Chew made?

Tibetan Dog Chews are made from yak and cow milk sourced from remote villages in Nepal. It contains only four ingredients: yak milk, cow milk, salt, and lime. Read about the whole process in how dog chews are made.

Do you need to add water to the chews/ moisten the chews before giving them to the dog?

You may moisten the chews to soften them. However, this is not required to moisten the chews before giving them to your dog.

How long will these chews last?

The longevity of these chew sticks varies depending on how voracious a chewer your dog is. On average, it will last hours if not days.

Are dog chews like rawhide chews and bully sticks?

Although they all these are dog treats, Tibetan dog treats can be a good alternative to rawhide chews and bully sticks. 

What are the feeding recommendations?

These chews are not meant to substitute regular meals, and they also are not nutritional supplements. We request you supervise your dog after you give it to them. Also, provide your dog with plenty of fresh water.

How many dog chews can I give my dog?

We recommend giving 1 - 2 Tibetan Dog Chews during a period of one week.

How to store yak chews after opening the pack?

If you have opened the pack, our dog chews can be stored for quite a while. Please ensure that the chews do not get exposed to moisture.
If your dog has chewed on the treats but did not finish them in one go, please make sure the chews are thoroughly dried before storing them.
To store the chews, wrap them in a paper towel or dry cloth and put them inside the original packaging without zip-locking the bag to allow ventilation.
If you do not have the original packaging, just wrap the chews in a paper towel or dry cloth and store them somewhere dry. Also, do not store fresh and chewed-on sticks in the same place.

Why do some chews have holes in them?

Holes are an inherent quality of these cheeses. It is a result of the traditional manufacturing methods and not a sign of a product gone bad. The holes you see occur when the air trapped within the cheese gets released later.

What can you do about the small leftover chews?

You can microwave the smaller leftover chews for about 40 seconds to puff them up. Then, let them cool down and give them to your dog as a softer, tasty treat.

No, the animals are not harmed in any way. Tibetan Antlers are 100% cruelty-free product.

Do you need to supervise your dogs while they chew on these antlers?

Yes, it might be a better idea to supervise your dogs after you give dog treats. We highly recommend you provide them with fresh water while they enjoy these treats.

How are Tibetan Crunchy Cheese Puffs made?

Tibetan Crunchy Cheese Puffs are made from smaller-sized yak chews microwaved to puff them up. They make the chews a lot softer with a slightly different texture to enjoy.

Can you use these cheese puffs as training treats?

You most definitely can! As these puffs are softer and easier to consume, you could use them to train your puppy or your big dog.
